additional funding of $1.3 billion over five years
to upgrade security within Australia.

|
Airport security will receive an additional
$190 million. Armed Australian Protective Service

A further $420 million will enhance
the Commonwealth Government's capacity to respond to possible
future security incidents. New funding will establish
a second Australian Defence Force Tactical Assault Group,
a permanent incident response capability and double the
Australian Federal Police's Strike Team capability. These
officers can intervene rapidly and effectively to remove
security threats.
