Commonwealth organisations

Australia’s support for Commonwealth organisations is a reflection of our shared commitment to the core values of democracy and the rule of law, human rights, equity, access to education, the promotion of sustainable development, and poverty alleviation. Australia will provide $11.4 million to Commonwealth organisations in 2005–06, mostly through the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation (CFTC). The CFTC is the principal means by which the Commonwealth delivers development assistance to developing country members.
