- The Australian Government is providing $150 million over the five years to 2012‑13 to assist the States to provide up to 600 homes across Australia for families and individuals who are homeless.
- The Australian Government has introduced the First Home Owners Boost to provide an additional $7,000 to eligible first home buyers purchasing established homes and an additional $14,000 to eligible first home buyers who purchase a new home. The Australian Government will fully fund the First Home Owners Boost which is to be administered by the States and Territories.
