The regional priority round of the Health and Hospitals Fund will be
investing in health services in Australia's regions:
- the Albury‑Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre on the New South Wales/Victorian border
will receive $65.0 million to improve cancer care facilities;
- $50.3 million will be provided for Improving Aboriginal Access to Primary
Health Care by constructing a number of new clinics in the Northern
Territory;
- the Bringing Renal Dialysis and Support Services Closer to Home service in Western
Australia will receive $45.8 million to address Indigenous health priorities;
- $40.4 million will be provided to Regional Mental Health Community Care Units to
improve mental health facilities in Queensland;
- $33.1 million will be provided to expand the capacity of mental health
care in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Toowoomba;
- $26.1 million will be provided for Integrated Regional Cancer Services to
construct a new Supportive Cancer Centre in Geelong, Victoria; and
- the Ballarat Dental Clinic will receive $8.3 million to relocate and expand
the current facilities.
